Availability

How to view availability from search results

The following section is divided into two areas: How to view availability from product search results and How to view availability from product categories search results.  The icon accesses availability information. 

 

NOTE: The Availability feature is only available for those users with transactional accounts.

 

Product Search Results

  1. Perform a product search and drill down to the Parts List area (click the Parts List header to display). 
  1. Click the linked part number to display part details pane. 

 

 

  1. Click the Availability icon .  The icon is located in the top right of the parts details pane.  The Availability pop-up window opens, displaying suppliers and available quantities regarding the selected part.  The information is view-only. 

 

 

Product Categories Search Results

  1. Perform a product categories search and drill down to the Item screen.  (To access the Item screen, select a product from the Product categories area, and then select one or more attributes in the fly-out.  Click the appropriate linked item number, and the Item screen displays.) 

 

  1. Once on the Item screen, click the icon.  The Availability pop-up window opens, displaying suppliers and available quantities regarding the selected part.  The information is view-only. 

How to view availability on the Shopping Cart screen

NOTE: You must be on the Shopping Cart screen to complete these steps.  To access the shopping cart, click the icon (in the top left of the shopping cart summary area on the Parts & Supplies page) or the Go to Cart button located on the Parts & Supplies page. 

 

Available Quantity

Navigate to the Available Qty column on the Shopping Cart screen.  The quantity listed is the quantity the (based on TPS and other inventory systems).  The availability is real-time data. 

 

 

Availability Status

Navigate to the Availability Status column on the Shopping Cart screen.  The availability is real-time data.  The color of the icons indicates the availability status.

How to select a different supplier

In the event a part is not availability, you can select another supplier to order the part from.

 

NOTE: You must be on the Shopping Cart screen to complete these steps.  To access the shopping cart, click the icon (in the top left of the shopping cart summary area on the Parts & Supplies page) or the Go to Cart button located on the Parts & Supplies page. 

 

To select another supplier:

 

  1. Click the Select button in the Change Supplier column on the Shopping Cart screen.  The Availability dialog box opens.  Suppliers pre-selected as primary and secondary suppliers appear. 

 

 

  1. Select the appropriate supplier(s).  Edit the quantity as needed. 

 

 

 

  1. Click the Update Cart button to complete the changes.  The shopping cart reflects the changes. 

 

NOTE: The same part can now be listed on two separate rows, as the part is now being supplied by two or more suppliers.
